About

Seedhee baat, koi bakwaas nahi.

Seedhee Baat started as jokes in a group chat that got too good to stay there.

Every "beta yeh kya pehna hai." Every "log kya kahenge." Every aunty who knew about your breakup before you did. Every 7pm invitation where the samosas aren't fried until 8. We grew up hearing these lines, repeating these lines, becoming these lines — and then watching them disappear into a chat thread nobody scrolls back to.

We figured they deserved better. We figured they deserved to be worn.

Who we make this for

The ones raised between two worlds. Desi at home, Canadian everywhere else, fluent in both and fully at home in neither. You came for the degree. You stayed for the PR. You are overqualified, underpaid, and overfed at home. You know exactly what we mean and you didn't need us to explain it.

That's the whole rule here: we never explain the joke. If you get it, it's for you. If you don't, koi baat nahi — someone will tag you eventually.

What we won't do

  • We won't tokenize. No borrowing the culture for aesthetic clout, no "celebrate your heritage" copy written by someone who's never had a chappal thrown at them.
  • We won't force the Hinglish. It shows up where it belongs and nowhere else.
  • We won't pick sides. No religion, no borders, no India-vs-Pakistan. Desi is desi here.
  • We won't make you a walking punchline. These are conversation starters, not costumes.

How it's made

Printed on demand, so nothing sits in a warehouse and nothing gets thrown away. Gender-neutral fits, S through 3XL, because your cousin's shoulders and your didi's shoulders both deserve something that fits.

We're based in the GTA. We ship across Canada and beyond — because the diaspora doesn't stop at the border and neither does the joke.

Seedhee baat?

We're small. We're new. We're figuring it out. But every line on every shirt is one somebody actually said, in a kitchen or a car or a WhatsApp group, and meant it.

For the ones who get it. 🤝
